\"\"My name is Jacie Reagan.\u00a0 I was born and grew up in Northwest Indiana.\u00a0 My parents are from West Tennessee which I also claim as home.\u00a0 I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.\u00a0 My maternal grandmother and aunt were teachers.<\/span>
\nI earned my Bachelor\u2019s degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.\u00a0 My Bachelor\u2019s degree is in Elementary Education and Language Arts.\u00a0 I have a Master\u2019s degree in Reading from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan.\u00a0 I also have Seventh-day Adventist denominational certification from the Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.<\/span>
\nI\u2019ve taught for 20 years.\u00a0 My elementary teaching experience includes teaching in Seventh-day Adventist multi-grade schools where I was teacher, principal, etc\u2026.; a charter school 1st-grade classroom for several years and at the college level.\u00a0 I\u2019ve taught at-risk students with special education teachers, an occupational therapist, and a social worker.\u00a0 Currently, I am teaching 6th grade and am the Vice-Principal.<\/span>
\nI endeavor to create a Christ-centered classroom where students can learn more about Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.\u00a0 I believe the spiritual lessons are VERY important and can be taught in every subject. <\/span>
\nIn my classroom, I like to use a variety of teaching strategies \u2013 cooperative learning, projects, and discussions.\u00a0 I strive to make my classroom a safe place for all students to share information, ask questions and learn.\u00a0 It is my expectation that every student becomes involved in their learning and push themselves to grow as a student and as an individual.<\/span>
\nI love to read, hike, cook, sew, do crafts, and spend time with my grandchildren.<\/span>
\nMy goal is to be an example and leader for our Savior, Jesus Christ, and encourage my students to have a relationship with Jesus and do their very best in all they set out to do.<\/span>
\nMy husband and I have 8 children and 22 grandchildren living in Michigan, North Carolina, Illinois, and Florida. Two of our children are in the Army. One will be stationed in Germany this summer.<\/span>
