Hello, my name is Michelle Willer. I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have spent the past few years working on my Education/ Spanish degree at Andrews University. While I was pursing my degree I did a lot of traveling. I have traveled to many different places for many different reasons. I went to Honduras for a mission trip a few years back. Then I traveled to Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Spain, and Paraguay for my Spanish major. Then just for fun, I traveled to France, Italy, England, Turkey, Israel, and Greece.
This is my first year teaching and I am very thankful to God that he has brought me into this profession. I am currently teaching K4 and K5 at the North Campus; which is absolutely amazing to me for two very unique reasons. One, I attended school here from 1st- 10th grade. I even had Mr. Hughes and Mr. Torres as teachers. Second, I live very close to the school, so I can walk to work every day.
In my classroom, I want my students to know that they are loved and safe. It is very important to me that my students are happy and they feel secure in my room. So I have employed the follow rules, in my classroom:
1. We will follow directions the first time they are given.
2. We will keep our hands, feet, and bodies to ourselves.
3. We will listen when someone is talking.
4. We will treat everyone with kindness and respect.
5. We will work and play safely and quietly.
Above all else, I want my students to be able to leave my classroom prepared academically, spiritually, and physically for whatever lies ahead of them.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
